About Mary Beth

Mary Beth brings 20 years of experience in the Counseling and Case Management field which enables her to quickly identify client needs and assist them in connecting to the many resources and tools that are available to make the buying process as efficient as possible.  She received her M.A. in Psychology in 1991 and uses her education and experience to assist both local and out-of-town home-buyers and sellers to connect with the next step to their ideal lifestyle for this period of their life.

Harris began real estate investing in 1999 while still working full time as an Administrative Director in a large Social Service Organization and left her job in 2001, after 14 years, to tend to her growing business, Harymarris Homes LLC.  As an investor, she managed over 40 HUD properties in the foreclosure process and has restored and sold over 15 houses, all before becoming a real estate agent.  She is detail oriented and has a multi-faceted, hands-on knowledge of the real estate process from various angles as home buyer, seller, investor, financier, landlord, and property management.  She has coupled this with her counseling and case management experience to give all customers a holistic approach to buying and selling.

Taking a holistic approach for Harris means helping her clients to identify what phase of life they are in, what their needs for this time are, and what their desired dreams and lifestyle would be and she works to infiltrate that into the buying and selling process.

"I see too many people relocate and choose a house based on commercial conveniences and school location only to feel isolated and have trouble adjusting to, and loving their new home environment.  By helping my clients look beyond the superficial and think about what their desired lifestyle really is, I can help them find homes that put them much closer to, if not in the middle of, their ideal lifestyle.  The result is that they adjust easily and end up loving their new life and home!"

Harris has three kids, college age and beyond, and made her own move 10 years ago for the sole purpose of living her desired lifestyle.  She states that it is the best thing she has ever done and has never looked back.  In her spare time, Mary Beth has served her community in various capacities through volunteerism.  She also loves ballroom dancing, boating, beautiful places, restoring historic houses, and being in nature.

Whether you are looking for a vacation home, a dream luxury home, an investment, are relocating, or simply downsizing, Mary Beth will help you buy or sell a home to get you closer to your best lifestyle!
